Liberty University Psychology Department Presentation

What happens when a child, created for love and nurturing, endures the unthinkable? Author and educator, Janyne McConnaughey, Ph.D., through her own story of developmental trauma and therapeutic process of healing, will provide a rare glimpse into the dissociative coping mechanisms which enabled her to survive. With humor, hope, and perspectives from the therapist’s couch, she will share her BRAVE journey while integrating recent trauma and attachment research which now fuels her advocacy efforts for trauma-informed practices.
